C88's K10

Hey guys,

Been lurking here for a few months and thought it was about time I made a blog to follow the progress of my K10. I figure you guys will be a much more receptive audience to my nattering about my Micra than my lady friend...

Basically I knew nothing about K10's or Micra's in general, until my old Mk 2 Astra was stolen from outside my house (probably scrapped by now

) and my Dad picked me up this shiny little K10 as a replacement.

Admittedly reluctant at first, I've slowly fallen in love with this little car, it's nice to drive something different!

Anyway enough chatter, these are the pics of the day I bought it...

Cheers James, ex-owner was a mechanic so it is in pretty good shape for it's age, only 52k on the clock!

Worst thing about the car when I got it was the state of the hubcaps, long-term I want to pick up some ATS Classics but as a poor student and not wanted to go for the bare steelies look I needed to get creative in the meantime so...

I took them to the garage,

Sanded and smoothed (pretty quickly and roughly but mainly just trying to have some fun) and primered.

Then sprayed them gloss black with a tasty bit of red detail, then a touch of clear coat.

I was pretty happy with the results of what was basically just something to do.

Also needed to get rid of this Peugot dealer sticker,

wasn't looking forward to taking off a 15 year old sticker, but it surprisingly came off nice and easy with just a little residue.

I love the back-end of the K10, I don't understand why people don't like the 'nipples', I consider them almost iconic
