I had a same problem yesterday and it blew the fuse for all the electrical inside the car (dash, speed, fuel, cd, inside lights)...the car wouldn't start for 30 minutes as well but after replacing the fuse and waiting for 30 (I read some where on the net that the ECU shuts down and needs time) everything was ok
Can you change the big battery fuse near the battery coz I think that is also gone, I tried pulling it out but it wont come out without breaking it apart.
