1994 1.0 CVT Lamda Sensor Diagnostic?

Hi all. Chasing an idling issue with my Micra, I have read that the lambda sensor could be causing of the rich running and lumpy idle I am experiencing, I've had the throttle body cleaned out and it runs silky smooth when driving but the idle is lumpy. I am wondering. 1. My car is pre-coil...

Where to buy a throttle body unit?

Will do thanks. When it goes in week today I plan while it's being cleaned to get the exact model and number of the body unit so I can check eBay etc for replacements I could learn how to rebuild. Can't see these parts being available too much longer, so a belts and braces approach could be...

Where to buy a throttle body unit?

I'm looking for a throttle body for my pre-coil pack 1.0 Micra 1994. I'm having it cleaned out again next week ahead of my test to hopefully settle the car down once more, however, it's only a stop gap measure. Eurocarparts has some scary prices for these units so wondering if the guru's...

    Bulb Set

Hi all, looking to obtain a full set of bulbs for my 1994 1.0 16V CVT Micra. It's the basic L spec so just a single rear fog light, and no frills. Them being UK based would be ideal for speed, and what tools would I use to change the bulbs?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Got the car back running really sweet, the garage cleaned out the throttle body and replaced all items needed in a major service. Not run it from cold since Africa has arrived in the UK, but from the drive home from the garage, it felt a like a new car!.

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Don't currently own a multi-meter, and by time I get one delivered ( I live in a village ) it will be in the garage, will have them take a look at it assuming it's the likely culprit.

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Had it out again today for a 20mile drive over the Moors and back to home, it seems happier at idle. But is noticeably running rich even with the temp gauge showing the engines warmed up? could this be the Lambda sensors needing changing?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Turned it anti-clockwise 1/4 a turn, tick over from cold seems a LOT better, will know how it feels next time I can drive it (currently on provisional insurance) Put £15 in it yesterday surprised it took it to half a tank! With the 1.0 attached to the CVT box what kinda MPG can I expect?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Got the allen keys today, had it out for a drive, it drives really well, just the idle is far too slow. Will sort it once it stops pouring down outside. I appreciate the advice :D

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Okay clockwise that out to raise the idle. The maf is connected but I assume doing nothing given my engine lacks the coil pack?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Ah that makes much more sense, which direction should I rotate it? also should I remove the MAF before or after I've adjusted the idle?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Seems beyond me to fix this thing. I fix computers, not cars. What part number is the throttle body how much to replace it ?

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Wait so it's not the MAF sensor? where is it then? Will have to search up this O Ring, as for the Lambda let me guess the one right at the front of the engine mines as Bosch job looks like it's been there a while. Is there another? and what settings am I looking for having never used a multimeter!

    K11 Lumpy Idle

Still cannot get the thing off, does not matter though, took the top cover off the airbox to find a brand new filter, and the throttle body looking suspiciously new. Beginning to suspect timing chains stretched, which is a major job and more than I am willing to spend on a £400 car. If this...
