    Clutch replacement

I got a LUK clutch kit ( with release bearing ) from a local motor factors for $100 ( so about £60 ) and fitted it myself. Didn't rush, cleaned everything as I went along, so just a few hours of my time rather than lining the pockets of a "mechanic", over a year later jobs still a guddun

How to remove top strut nuts?

I've had this problem before ( on a car at the local wreckers that I wanted the struts off ) I just used a hammer and punch to loosen the nut then just the regular 12mm socket to fully remove it, if you have already chewed up the nut ( once you have loosened it with the hammer and punch ) just...

    Are they starting to dissapear?

Thanks plmval, I got the LX first ( for $1500 ) though I reckon I have spent close to $5000 on it so far haha. The Super S was advertised at $3500 ( I got it for $3000 ) a lot of money for a 20 year old ni$$an micra, but it was in fairly decent nick ( not as good as the LX mind ) got burned a...

    Are they starting to dissapear?

Couldn't agree more K11TZZ, my first two cars were Minis so I have fond memories of them, but to get one here in Australia ( a decent one ) is just too expensive so a K11 is definitely the next best thing ( in fact, in some ways dare I say better ). I love mine, and feel I have the best of both...

    Are they starting to dissapear?

Hmmmm, looks tidyish I guess, but clearly the sills have required attention at some time and there is some fierce rust at the rear of the roof channels. Over here in Oz our K11s don't rust so much ( which is great ) but they do get hammered by the sun and so look pretty trashed. Red, Green, and...

Making a 1.3 into a fast but quiet and comfortable car?

Hope these two articles are useful for you Gene. I know they are pretty old now, and from an Australian perspective, but they do give some idea of what you can do to gain a bit of performance from a Micra and what to expect from it if you do... Steve

New water pump and overheating problem.

If the engine is overheating, and coolant is leaking out of the expansion tank, that usually points to a leaking head gasket/cracked cylinder head unfortunately mate

    Whats better K11 or K12

The header is two separate questions really, "what is the best shape" is really down to personal preference/taste ( mine would be K11, though I have seen some nice K12s ) and "what is the most reliable".... To which there is without question only one answer .....K11 hands down.

Thankyou very much James3321, as some have already mentioned, they are Enkei RPF1s. LowRider.....haha, me too, I'm not a fan of stretch, but needs must when you live in a financially ruined state and the local Police force will take all and any opportunities to enforce the...

    Wrap around spoiler installation

Hey OLeary, the wrap around type spoiler has two studs protruding from underneath the top section, take the grommets out of your tailgate and drill a hole in the centers so the spoiler sits flush with the tailgate and fit nuts onto the studs, the sides can be secured with silicon sealant...

    Wrap around spoiler installation

Hi mate I have a base LX that had no rear spoiler ( though it dose now ) and a Super S that has the wrap around spoiler from the factory. The only difference I can see ( and I am by no means an expert on this ) is my S has two grommets under the hatch at either side which when they...
