egr valve would be black smoke mate, possible fuel or turbo, i would possibly check the turbo for play on the shaft or damage

took it for its first service came back £125 and a camera mount lighter :(

moved the cam mount tonight need to try it out yet but it now lives here

we had a k12 with a problem similar to this at work, it tured out to be one of the fuses that are actually on the battery rather than in the fuse box
