Engine over heated the other day and I lost power, fitted a new thermostat and radiator cap, car then ran fine and no more over heating. Drove the car about 50 mile today and just as I got home the engine check light came on, doesn't seem to be any loss of power, no over heating and it still...

Yea I guessed it was the starter motor, seems to get stuck or something for a few seconds after ignition, no idea about starter motors though so hopefully someone else has some helpful info

Thanks a lot man, was a tough choice between colour coding and black bumpers but I fancied a retro look at the time, if I ever find a 1.3/1.4 over here it will most likely be going all colour coded :)

Yea that could be an idea if i can find any, mostly bog standard micras over here in Northern Ireland so not a lot of choice of extras from the scrappys

Thanks, the wheels really make a big difference and set everything else i've done off nicely! Based in Northern Ireland, loads of micras here but very few nice ones. Its also near impossible to get anything bigger than a 1 litre micra which is disappointing, only seen one 1.3 in the past year...
