Fluid seems orange/brownish in colour, fluid was changed shortly after I got the car about 12k miles ago by an automatic gearbox specialist who I trust to have used the correct fluid. Not sure though if the filter was done?

Thanks, will be checking for vacuum leaks when the rain stops using some WD40, if that comes up blank, will look into the lambda sensor too. edit: Anyone knows a solid source for a branded sensor? may get a new one ordered anyway just to be safe as the one on the car looks very old.

Hi all. Got a knock from my steering column diagnosed and looking for a replacement column to reduce time off the road. Would one from a K11 with the lever to adjust height be retrofittable?

My mounts look quite similar, no real juddering but I have pondered replacing them when I have the Xmember done this summer.

With regard to this topic, if you have an irritating rattle and a knock when turning the wheel 90degress and letting go when stationary, check the bearing bottom of the steering column, that is where my noise is coming from.

I had this, turned out a heat shield over the exhaust on the bottom had dropped off but left a small circular bracket which was hitting the exhaust.

Anyone had this done? got a rattle over rougher roads from drivers side + a knock when you turn the wheel and let go when stationary. Pondering if it's worth the time+money or ignores till it gets worse as right now it's minor. Getting to the end of my tether fixing this car.
