Check the pcv valves are not blocked and the breather hoses. Within the air filter box there should be a pcv filter. This is about 1"x 1/2" white (probably black now!) slotted in. It could well be missing and this will let oil into the filter housing.

Some decrease would be normal once refilled. There may be an airlock once this clears the level will go down. When you take the oil filler cap off is there creamy white gunge on the underside?

Could well have been a badly maintained cooling system. Unlikely to have ever been flushed. Maybe different types of antifreeze had been used in the past. There are now several types on the market some which shouldn't be mixed with others may have caused a chemical reaction. Now you have...

If you don't have Aircon and haven't checked already it maybe the pollen filter blocked. It's hidden behind the glove box as is often forgotten. Also check the lever and cable for air direction is working. The blower is unbolted and drops out from under the dashboard.

Now finished the spraying, the paint is reasonable match considering 20 years of fading with the original. I bought the paint from paints4u. They supply kits with all you need for repair jobs.

The engine bay is a different colour as well being similar to China blue.

Now onto the boot shut This had never been painted. Nissan must have used an equivalent of a spray can for the whole car!!! Now rubbed down and treated with a rust prevention. Now in primer ready for the top coats.

If you have the glovebox lid off and there are no dotted cut lines or a narrow vertical panel about the centre of the heater there is probably no filter. Facelift K11's didn't have a filter if there was Aircon fitted.
