yep run it a spray lightly and keep repeating until noise is gone if it doesnt go do a belt see if you can get it under warranty if the car is still in 3 yrs or 60,000miles. if you have to do a belt make sure it is very tight
the micra doesnt have a fan belt the fans are electronic, if you can't be bothered to change it then spray so lube on it or try tighten it as they have to be really tight, does it only do it on start up?
try not to lock the wheel when under tension that all i can say on the matter or replace the barrel as with the fuel catch it can be done in 10mins witha new cable and modified catch
i work for nissan and we do a full kit on all timing changes it just makes sense to do it all when it is stripped out least it is all good then, you could do the chain and then 6 months later the tensioner goes and knackers the chain, do you see my point
it a common fault it when the pin inserts on the column and the wheel has been locked with some force just take tension off and turn hope this helps you i get 2 of these a week at work
it come form near side rear and sounds like a clonking noise i thought it was my spring if you lot try it grab and few coils and sqeeze them and tell me what you find i find that the n/s/r is weaker!!!!
