    Accelerator tuning box

Result. Found a sports muffler for a cc model, was tempted. Found a local garage that produce custom sports exhausts in stainless. Quoted £250 to £350, which includes the middle section as well. 2 of the mechanics have had micras, one for a long time, who is on this forum. 120bhp ?

    Accelerator tuning box

Id be very happy with 120bhp. Have done the air filter, need to look at the air mod. Looks like the cobra isn't available any more. Pretty sure mine doesn't have a cat. Suppose might have a look at a custom one. Even getting a new standard exhaust might be an idea. They must get coked up inside.

    Accelerator tuning box

Thanks. That's how I understood it to work. No overall power gain. Perhaps if you drive aggressively, theres no difference. Makes it easier/quicker for the way I drive.

    Accelerator tuning box

Dont need to put it on a dyno, I can tell, just from altering settings it works. No skin off my nose if you dont want to believe me.

    Accelerator tuning box

Correction, think it was made in Belgium. https://www.tuningbox.com/ From research, found there is one company called sm something, that fit a full tuning box, for €500. Would get one, but they dont have an installer in uk. Might be easier for yourself. Sharing knowledge is so beneficial.

    Accelerator tuning box

Hello Mika, I bought a german one, called tuning box. It cost £200. I did the research, you have to pay approx £200, although race chip sell one for £150, to get one that works. You unplug electric accelerator connection, plug it into box, than box lead goes onto accelerator pedal. The cheap...

    Accelerator tuning box

I thought my micra was a little slow initially off the mark. Tried getting a remap of ecu, couldn't find anyone that did one for a 160sr (probably not much power to gain). I bought and fitted a tuning box accelerator pedal box. Quite pleased with results. Comes with 9 settings. Currently using...

    K12 recommended head light replacements

Thought I'd pass this on. Bought TYC replacement headlights, looked okay in box, however, when I came to fit them realised they were poor quality. I'd bought chrome ones by mistake for my 160sr. Bought correct black ones, by Valeo. They are loads better quality, hard to tell difference...

    Mods and upgrading a 160sr

Thanks. I think I'll go with newer nissan, and adapter approach. With regards to your spark plugs, definitely worth replacing. It will mean gaining access to your inlet ports, so you can give them a good clean. The gum on mine, 37k, was about 1mm thick all round. Think it must effect airflow...

    Mods and upgrading a 160sr

Thought Id share what i've done and found out, during my short period of micra ownerhip. Looks like contrary to what I thought, adding polly bushes wouldnt be a good idea for a micra. Chatting to a mechanic about replacing the suspension completely. He thought the additional control from polly...

    Mods and upgrading a 160sr

In your situation, as you need to replace bushes any way, might be worthwhile going with poly bushes. Like the sound of the superfit ones, as they came up with cotton reel type. The sr corners so well, it interests me whether it can made be better. I first became obsessed with the k12, when my...

    Mods and upgrading a 160sr

I will go down the poly bush route, possibly with new shocks, if theres an improvement to be had from them, as well as bushes. Not interested in changing the appearance, that would be sacrilege in my mind. Will do the chip remap as well. Just looking to optimise, a great car. Had wondered if a...

    Mods and upgrading a 160sr

I purchased a low mileage 2005 160sr a couple of weeks ago. Always had an OCD about the k12, since my dad bought a 1.4 sve from new in 2003. Am currently going through car, servicing it, with upgraded parts etc. Have a large budget, and want to optimise everything. It's done 34k miles. Have...
