    Lowering AGAIN

Used stp and profi fuel max. Also used eco clean. Used 3 in 6 weeks. Ran it rich for a couple of weeks, ie more cleaner less petrol. Didnt push the car. Done the trick. Can't believe you sold your micra. Couldnt wait to see it. Using Pro kit changed shape/perception and ride, all good. Looks a...

    Lowering AGAIN

Don't think you will be dissapointed. Was half hoping you might have gone ahead with lowering without them, for your reaction ?. Still loving mine. Can drive over pot holes, and no big deal. You can feel them, but dampers are dealing with them great. Was so bad without b8s, had to run low...

New Suspension Parts - best place to buy it from?

Smarmy mechanic gave me back all original stuff, and said when oem parts fail I could use them.

New Suspension Parts - best place to buy it from?

Also have the original bolts and knuts for suspension, as I replaced them all with new from Nissan. New bolts and nuts cost me £200. I could tell that if wasted my money on buying new. As they were fine. I'll chuck them in as well.

New Suspension Parts - best place to buy it from?

I've got a front and rear set of kyb excell gs for sale, plus a set of standard 160sr springs, which would slightly lower a non sr model. Kybs were only on car for 4 weeks, as I'd lowered my 160sr with eibach pro springs. The kybs are standard, and didn't work well with the eibachs, as they were...

More comfortable ride needed for a k12 160SR required - possible wheel replacement?

Think you are fortunate they do one. They don't for 1.6.. having one made. There used to be a stainless muffler by cobra, for the 1.6. Quite a few on here have them. They have twin pipes. Mika has one. He gets an extra 10 bhp with it, plus improved air filter. Going to get head gas flowed after...

More comfortable ride needed for a k12 160SR required - possible wheel replacement?

B8s and konis. are not only shorter, which is why they work better (no extra compression), theyre mono tubed, which work better than double tubed (cheaper ones/design). Sportz exhaust next.

More comfortable ride needed for a k12 160SR required - possible wheel replacement?

You did the right thing with the.b8s. Makes a huge difference. Cost me an extra £270 to have the b8s fitted separately afterwards. Glad you will not have same issue. Difference is like night and day, more so with the sportlines. Couldnt imagine the car being driveable without them. With stock...

More comfortable ride needed for a k12 160SR required - possible wheel replacement?

Big wheels must be an age thing, cant stand them. When i was a youngster, the bigger the tyre the better. Big wheels don't suit small cars mechanically. Dad has just bought a new hyundai i10. 82 bhp. Comes with 16 inch wheels, and 205/45/16 inch tyres! What's that all about?

More comfortable ride needed for a k12 160SR required - possible wheel replacement?

For anyone that's interested. Had suspension renewed, and eibach pro springs added. Had kyb standard shocks fitted. Ride was intolerable. Had 14 inch alutec wheels fitted with 185 /60/14 tyres. Improved ride. Then had bilstein b8s fitted on rear, wow what a difference. Just had them fitted on...

    Lowering AGAIN

b8s made a big difference on rear, having them fitted to front on tues. If you read up on them, witn lowering, it explains why. Koni orange and yellow ones are just as good apparently.

    Lowering AGAIN

Take it step by step, so you don't waste any money. Read up loads on wheels and tyres, to sort mine out. Wasted £270 on fitting standard excell gs when I did suspension and lowering. Came across some info saying wider tyres give a harsher ride. Perhaps the excell gs were particularly crap, and I...

    Wider Tyres

Having said what I just wrote, 195/50/16 tyres would increase ride height by 5mm, which you probably don't want, with your lowering sport springs. May give you a clearance issue as well, with slightly larger circumferance. Stick with 185's.

    Wider Tyres

If I'd kept my sr wheels, i would have fitted good 5mm wheel spacers, which would give you look you are after, with no issues.
