I bought mine around 2 years ago, all I can think is that they have updated it inbetween.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Today I learnt how the Spanish 'mot' system works; After booking it in you take your car in to an approved centre which only does mot's (itv's), drive the car through stopping in four places. First they check emissions, steering, belts, etc and have a look under the bonnet, secondly you move...

what did you do to your micra today ?

I'm pretty fortunate, as the weather here has been pretty good, so, over winter; Have totally stripped down one of the 1.0's (which had turned into swiss cheese) for spares for the other 1.0, in order to keep it going while I prepare the newly acquired 1.4. Servicing this has found me happily...

    Question for the electrically savvy

Have been doing some diagnosing/resistance checks on components on my 1.4 and have come across readings with my idle air control valve/auxiliary air control valve which have got me scratching my head a little. My haynes states readings of 20 - 24 ohms respectively at 20 degrees, I'm getting...

No worries. Hope it goes well and it's an easy fix. Just be patient with it and have a torch handy, there were a few 'hidden' fasteners that nearly caught me out.

Leaking!! Heater Matrix or Core!!! NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!

Stripped down one of my k11's recently (2000 1.0 facelift model so very similar dash I believe). The hazard warning and hrw connectors were quite stiff on mine, iirc I got most of the dash loose and free before I had enough room to get behind them, even then they were fiddly. There were also 2...

    Lambda check

How do I check a Lambda sensor on an '02 model 1.4 k11? I realise this may have been asked before, however I've tracked back through old threads but can't find anything. Basically need to know where to break into the system and what voltage I'm looking for? Many thanks.

    0-60 Times Board

That's a good time, and in the wet also! I'll be happy if mine does a sub 12 initially, then I might start to play with it a little ...

    K11 fuel pump

That's good to know, many thanks indeed. Still getting used to the car and about to undertake a fairly comprehensive service/tidying up operation pre use.

    Idle Rev?

If you remove/decide to clean the maf you'll need a ts25 '5 point' security bit. I stress 5 point as they are commonly 6 point. For the tps it's a t20 hex (allen) bit. These are as fitted to mine, which looked to be original.

What is/will be your next car after K11?

    K11 fuel pump

Question on fuel pump 'starting up' for 1.4 owners; On my 1.0 K11's, every time I turn the ignition on, pre start, I hear the fuel pump priming, whereas on my recently acquired 1.4 I get ... silence. Normal?

What is/will be your next car after K11?

Porsche 944 in guards red, circa mid eighties. Only done around 40k kms, and been kept in the same family since new, currently dry stored. Have just about convinced my friend that she doesn't need it, as she works abroad. Taken me nearly 4 years though!

    0-60 Times Board

K11 1.0 'celebration' 2000 model, 97k and getting a bit tired now. On flat surface 21 secs (2 up), my wife got 18 secs and that was with about 60kg of luggage, though she used to race! Will let you know how the 1.4 fares post service.

K11 facelift to K11C parts interchangability

That's very good to know, especially about the driveshafts, as I'll be getting a new pair fitted soon. Regarding the power increase, there's a hill just outside my village (the junction I use is at the bottom of it so no chance of a runup) My 1.0 is barely at 45mph when I get to the top of it...
