yeah my mechanic sources parts from a reputable parts dealer online, as i'm not a mechanic myself i wouldn't be able to tell but i trust the mechanic. seems to only happen when i've been giving the car a bit of poke and there is a lot of heat coming off the engine after it stalls/judders

just had the chain replaced by my mechanic, we initially changed the sensor and the fault continued so we changed the chain, the car ran fine for about 6 weeks with the new chain and now its started to stall again and the eml has come on. plan is to try the sensor again.

honestly i get your logic going for springs and new shocks/dampers but for the price you pay to buy 4 springs and 4 dampers you may as well get coils which come as an entire package, in some cases springs and dampers can be more expensive do a little research because i'm sure there are plenty of...

hi mate, i'm a k12 owner myself and a first time modder too, some advice though, if you want better handling first port of call is the suspension, you should be able to pick coilover kits up reasonably cheap (cheaper than for a k12 as nobody makes them ha) once thats done some girthy wheels...

once the cam cover is removed the top of the chain is exposed, you'll be able to test for looseness by applying light pressure with a screwdriver

i'de even consider going custom with some carbon covers, i know Sumo power do custom fabrication and there workshop isnt a million miles away. might do some research and get some quotes because carbon might be $$$$
