    I feel you will at least have to change the top chain and tensioner, its far easier than doing both chains, the chain will have stretched

    Thanks but what models have a rev counter? Our is a face lift but an S so no rev counter, then if the mileage is out can this be corrected?

    My 1.0 with 85000 miles on it was rattling its head off, changed the top chain and tensioner and its as sweet as a nut, some one told me they are prone to stretching Kit was £65 for the to and bottom chain with all the sprockets and guides tensioners, cost £50 to have a garage fit the top

    AS above, some people wrongly assume wheels can just be swapped but they are vastly different, have a look for some numbers etc on the wheels to identify the size, then I am sure some one will come along and tell you a solution

    Check with a motor factor as occasionally the same part is used on both sides, did you buy them as a pair?

    Reminds me of the time I went to look at a Triumph Herald convertible, full service history one owner loads of paperwork, needs some welding, so I calls the guy, he tells me its got loads of receipts etc ,but I must be able to Mig up, told him I can weld etc, goes to look and he ushers me around...

    Don't spend any money!!! Follow some one doing 30, 50 and 70, this should tell you which way to move the needle, move needle and try again

    Is it just one squeak? Try lubing the rubbers in the engine mount it wont stop it for ever but may help you pin point the noise. These issues can drive you mad and often its something simple that is obvious but we cant always see it, let us know what you find. If its any consolation mine suffers...

    Could be mice? Just check the belts on the alt etc and not slipping, squirt a small amount of wd40 on them and see if it goes, if it does check the tension

    I have had this issue in the past with my campervan, I just drive it with the sat nav then see how far out the speedo is, stop pull the needle off and stick it back on in the correct position, simple but works
