    Performance parts and emissions (MOT)

Hi Thieme! Usually sporty cams increase HC (hydrocarbon) and CO (carbon monoxide) emissions. They are often hard to get into limits . I haven´t tested Micra with cams, but have seen a few other cars with them. HC will usually drop when you raise idle rpm, but there´s limits for it too at the...

    Japi´s shirt Micra (Finland)

It´s been a while since I was last time in Italy. In 2001 me and couple mates drove/rode from Macedonia to Greece, came by boat to Venice and "ran" to north along the side of Lake Garda. I think the northern Italy is beautiful (haven´t been in south though). Pic of me is taken in Austria not so...

    Japi´s shirt Micra (Finland)

Thank you for your kind words mate! :) p.s. Your invitation sounds good, maybe I pack myself into Bear´s suitcase and come visit Italy. Last week we had -25´C here in Mid-Finland, now only -5´C, but snowing. :D

    Japi´s shirt Micra (Finland)

Yeh, bear is tough bloke and didn´t want to go winter sleep yet before installing new wheels :) Thanks! I must calm down and avoid using hand brake, to keep spikes on tires

Golden colour ain´t bad either. The figure of your wheels is not the easiest to do paint job, but they look good though. If you end up painting I think sand or soda blasting would be the easiest way to get rid of an old paint. Of course sand blasting makes rought surface. Don´t have experience...

I would go for 175s on those rims :) Calculator link: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Have heard same thing too about E70. With a mixed petrol/E85 works fine but I´ve been lazy to change filling pistols while fuelling up . One fella took slice of his Almera´s cyl.head to hike compression, told that works better now. Maybe I´ll do that someday, brings just a bit of...

Good point Frank, thanks, you´re the man! :) Now running on petrol again cos haven´t figured out yet how to solve cold start problems. Maybe timing change would help a bit. Some mates have "cable/brain sets" to injectors installed, to give richer mixture for starting with E85.

I might try to press those tree bulb connectors a bit tighter. I think I would do something like this for the wheels:

    Alloy Wheels

185/65R14´s diameter * is quite big 596mm compared to stock 155/70R13 548mm. 195/50R15 dia 577mm, I´ve 175/65R14 (dia 584mm) new winter tires waiting for snow and ice. Don´t bother change them yet cos the first snow melted ages ago and it´s raining all the time. I think that 584mm dia is max...

    Alloy Wheels

Agree with that. Actually I like those FK springs (not so bouncy as stock) but 195/50R15s are a bit too stiff, except on good roads and curves. For daily bumpy roads I could use some more profile, but lets live with ´em now :)

Cherrytuner said: Oh and installed some bigger ga16de injectors last weekend, now running with the RE85 ethanol fuel...sooo nicely cheap compared to the normal fuel prices here. Read somewhere that injectors size is known by the colour. Last winter I changed them cos one broke down. I had white...

"Winscreen man" put here rubber gasket, it sits tight between scuttle panel/windscreen, been dry ever since.

    water leak

I had same problem. It stopped in summer when windscreen was replaced and "glass company" -guy put a new rubber gasket to plastic cover underneath the windsreen. Water came down from somewhere behind the glovebox (LHD).

I think those Pollyp´s tires give a quite comfortable ride and don´t look bad either. I´ve got FK -40 springs and summertires 195/50R15, bit too hard/firm for my taste. Looks are ok, but I think I would rather get 13-14s next. Low profile looks good, high profile gives softer ride for daily use. :)

    diy spraying my micra?

I´m not a pro painter, far away from it, but I think it´s nice job to do (well, at least afterwards feels like it  ). I had a dark Green colour, I actually liked it. However I changed the colour to lighter. Benefit of lighter colour is it doesn´t show all tiny dents so well and dirt...
