i fitted one to my k12, was €80 from the local scrappy the connection is clipped to the back of the existing cubby hole there are two screws, 1 under each vent on wither side of the stereo, unscrew these, then with a flat head screw driver CAREFULLY prise off the flat top piece of dash from...

get your front indicator grilles off, (3 clips) then remove the indicator lens (2 screws) and give it a coat of black shoe polish and refit, 10 minutes work... i did mine over a year ago and it still hasn't worn off, its a nice subtle mod for your front end and if you already have black shoe...

whatever you do dont buy from potn.com, i ordered mine nearly a month ago, it said they would take 3-5 days to be delivered and theres still no sign of them! i ordered 30mm's to so if they ever arrive i'l let you know :D

i think this should be 'reasonably' straight forward (the famous last words :P) only saying this my nieghbours 2003 vw passat had a release popper as standard on the filler flap, i had to replace it a little while back... if your anyway mechanically minded it would be very easy to take one...

i think there is a fairly common fault on the k11s (correct me if im wrong) where its not actually the window reg itself but the two white plastic clips attaching the glass to the reg? they are quite weak and usually snap in half, id say the cold weather probably made yours even more brittle...
