Using a heat gun helps to 'loosen' the adhesive then follow the other advice. Be careful using a heat gun on pain though! :p

Haha indeed. The reflective mirrored part is an MOT fail iirc, its the plastic housing I'm interested in. I'm playing about with colour schemes at the moment and alot of work is in the planning at the moment. Along with spraying I'm also adding carbon fibre inside the light housing.

Still annoyed I've not been told more by them, for an expensive repair I would have liked to have known the severity of this issue - especially from the dealership!

I'm not sure where the leak is exactly, just that nissan will gladly re-seal it for £400 :wow:

Hmmm, not done it but if you try and find the seating rails from another car that does this and fabricate them on should be a good starting point.

How much would you say it costs to re-seal the gearbox casing? Just had a health check at nissan and before I tell you how much I was quoted, I'd like to see what you think! :laugh:

I just need to let this out. Why is it SO hard to find a service manual for the hr16de engine? There's so much I want to learn but can't! If anyone shows me a link to one I will be eternally grateful but will probably scream for not finding it :grinning:
