Well it's the same clutch from when I did the engine change last September and when it was all apart I never noticed problems with the springs. Sound was happening before then Oh and I also if it's helpful the noise dissapears when you raise the revs ove 1100ish

I took it apart the other day. Rings well worn and clearances over twice what they should be. Compression test showed there was a drop of over 50psi between wet and dry. Plan is overbore it to 72.5mm :) should be a laugh!

I would personally say solder/weld the small hole. New clutch. Flush the gearbox as best you can. Back together and then sorted. If you hear the gearbox bearings start to whine or any nasty noises then change it. But it depends on your circumstances of course such as alternative transport if...

You can make your own ht leads for a cheap price in all sorts of colours. Grab some spare ones from a scrappy and copper cored wire from eBay. Try and get a Frankspeed manifold as they look standard and flow well too. Plus much cheaper. Induction kit is unlikely to do much. If it sound you want...
