Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

ok, so here's the photos... Here's the original aerial bolt now it's removed. The new aerial comes with two bolts, I used the one with the small thread. ...and the aerial itself just screws onto the new bolt. Simple! takes about two minutes. Hope it helps anyone wanting to do the same.

    Air flow meter problem

I replaced the maf sensor this morning with a new one after also giving the meter a good clean where it's installed into and the car is running fine again now. The sensor that I removed looked perfectly clean so I guess they must just physically fail after a certain time. For future reference...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

I fitted the aerial successfully this morning :grinning: I'll post a couple of photos later on of the fixing... the bolt was just one section in the end and screws off at the base. It didn't want to budge with grips even after spraying it with wd40 so I'd advise using a small spanner as I did in...

    Installing a new radiator

great thanks, forgive my ignorance... the brace is the vertical support seen in the photo bolted onto the bonnet catch? I take it the catch mechanism will come out too attached to the slam? Are those bolts through the slam that hold the tank in place perm attached to the slam and just sit...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

ok, thanks. I've not tried to unscrew yet, it's difficult to see if the bolt is one or two sections, I didn't want to force it and damage the core before checking what I'm doing. I guess these adapters will need to screw in place of this bolt?

    Installing a new radiator

My radiator is the original one that came factory installed in the car (2001 1.0 Y plate). The bottom tank is rotten (see photo below...) ..so I need to swap it out with a new one. Are there any fitting guides here? It looks like I have to remove the slam panel which has 2 bolts on either side...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

ok, I've taken a macro photo now this morning. With the cap removed (right), you can see the bolt with the core of the wire through the middle. The cap is a push on fit rather than a screw thread, I guess it was glued also as I had to use grips on it to get it off. Will these replacement...

    Air flow meter problem

I learnt this week that you can diagnose whether the problems being experienced are down to the maf sensor by simply unplugging it, mine was definately the problem so I've bought a new one although I'm guessing that the existing one could probably have just been cleaned as suggested above but as...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

thanks again.. I'll try and take a macro photo of the bolt in the morning to post. Would this one listed on ebay be ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140485124428

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

Thanks for the info, the latter suggestion sounds good, I'd rather not take the roof lining down. These adaptors just screw onto the original bolt mount on the roof? Does it matter that mine was snapped off? the wire core of the arial is still poking though the end of the bolt so I'm wondering...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

Hi all, I had a read through some previous threads here after a search but didn't find a definative answer ... My Micra's aerial (2001 1.0 Y plate) was snapped off by vandals a few years back, it was like the type in this picture (I've linked a random advert on auto trader with the same type...

    Pedals

I measured my pedals the other day: the clutch and brake pedals are 60x60cm and the accelerator pedal is 40x100cm. If these Sparco ones have the correct fittings so I can just alan key them on that'd be great. I guess I should check then how close the pedals will be set apart with these though...

    Pedals

Does anyone know if these Sparco pedals will fit the k11 ? (Exact sizes are linked in the 3rd picture) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380333946280 I prefer these Sparco ones if they fit, alternatively I noticed that IMPUL pedals have been fitted to k11's but I don't...
