ah ok, so 3 ltrs of water to 1 ltr coolant. ..and it'll be ok just to refill the new rad after running the red stuff through previously?

:o what ratio of water and coolant should I be using? .. I think what he actually said was small holes can form in the head gasket

I forgot to ask.. when I was making sure my old rad was definitely leaking I filled it up with 4 ltrs of antifreeze (50/50 with previously boiled water) I had the antifreeze in storage so I just went ahead and filled it without thinking but I've just realised that it was the red type and the car...

Great thanks for that, my other thought was possibly an attachment for an oil cooler. I had an Astra van a while back an the oil cooler was inside the front bumper.

Looks good (Y) The mesh is quite wide, do you think you could possibly get a few stones flying up and damaging the rad? then again there's not much protection on the stock front end thinking about it.

Is it just as easy to take the wing mirrors off the car on the later k11's too? (2001). Do the inner covers push clip on/off to reveal the bolts holding it on or will I need to take the door cards out too? I'd like to paint up mine to colour code them, the n/s one needs to be replaced as it was...

The symptoms you described sounds similar to what occurred with mine which was down to the maf sensor as Frank suggested above, for a quick diagnosis you can just unplug it from the meter to see if it then runs ok without it connected ( Don't leave it unplugged or do any long runs with it...

The air flow meter itself is directly under the air box, once you take off the airbox cover and put the filter to one side, the bottom half of the airbox is push fitted onto the meter which has a rubber gaiter around the neck to make it an air tight fit, this is then secured tight with a jubilee...

:wasntme: yea, I rarely ever listen to the radio to be honest, I just wanted to put it all right again so at least the options there :grinning:

The reception with this new aerial seems just as good as the original long aerial was before it was damaged, both AM and FM have a strong signal and auto tune is finding all the lower signal strength stations.
