    Carpet repair

My carpet in the driver side footwell has a large hole just under the foot guard and a couple of other small holes and general wearing. It all came from a period of time with my job that was really hectic working 16 hour shifts and the floor mat on the drivers side was binned because it was...

    Light bulb

Thanks Dan, I'll pop it out and have a look to see what type of bulb it is and figure out where to get one, should only be a few pence.

    Light bulb

I thought I'd resurrect this old thread! Is it possible to change the bulb in the switch ? If so, how do I pop out the switch and where can I get a new bulb from? Cheers.

    Installing a new radiator

I forgot to ask.. when I was making sure my old rad was definitely leaking I filled it up with 4 ltrs of antifreeze (50/50 with previously boiled water) I had the antifreeze in storage so I just went ahead and filled it without thinking but I've just realised that it was the red type and the car...

    Installing a new radiator

Great thanks for that, my other thought was possibly an attachment for an oil cooler. I had an Astra van a while back an the oil cooler was inside the front bumper.

    Installing a new radiator

I should have taken a photo before I installed it really. I've tried to do a quick mock picture to illustrate it instead. Hopefully I've draw it on the correct side of the radiator! It's basically two brass coloured connectors sticking out of the bottom tank.. Apologies for the crude drawing...

    Installing a new radiator

I did the rad change today which all went well. I just took my time with it and was straight forward as suggested. Thanks for the advice with that (Y) The new rad had two copper connectors on the bottom tank which weren't on the original one? I suppose they are for an a/c or something? The...

Spray Painted alloys black and red calipers - Before & After Pics

Looks good (Y) The mesh is quite wide, do you think you could possibly get a few stones flying up and damaging the rad? then again there's not much protection on the stock front end thinking about it.

    K11 mirrors

Is it just as easy to take the wing mirrors off the car on the later k11's too? (2001). Do the inner covers push clip on/off to reveal the bolts holding it on or will I need to take the door cards out too? I'd like to paint up mine to colour code them, the n/s one needs to be replaced as it was...

    More woes-poor running this time...

The symptoms you described sounds similar to what occurred with mine which was down to the maf sensor as Frank suggested above, for a quick diagnosis you can just unplug it from the meter to see if it then runs ok without it connected ( Don't leave it unplugged or do any long runs with it...

    Air flow meter problem

The air flow meter itself is directly under the air box, once you take off the airbox cover and put the filter to one side, the bottom half of the airbox is push fitted onto the meter which has a rubber gaiter around the neck to make it an air tight fit, this is then secured tight with a jubilee...

Replacing the aerial on the later k11's

The reception with this new aerial seems just as good as the original long aerial was before it was damaged, both AM and FM have a strong signal and auto tune is finding all the lower signal strength stations.
