My interior was good but I thought I'd do it anyway the last time whilst I was at it and it really made a noticeable difference, I've not had to redo the interior plastic since so far (after a year) as it's not exposed to the elements. Much better than back to black and all those other synthetic...

great, thanks for the confirmation (Y) I'll leave it ideling for a while in the morning and check the dipstick again to make sure, it smeared each time I checked it after it was wiped off so I was worried I might have over filled slightly.

Is it roughly 3.5ltrs-4 ltrs litres or so that the engine takes? I bought 5ltrs and have around 1 - 1.5ltrs left. I filled up to the level of the groove/bend in the dipstick whilst the engine was completely cold, it's a bit difficult to be 100% with the dipstick as it smeared quite a bit. I'm...

thanks again, I'll bring some coolant with me on the run down to the mot to top it up, that'll be the first time that I can legally go for a run before it's taxed and mot'd again.

Thanks Frank, I was hoping it'd be around the 3/4 mark. Is it nessasry to have the heater blowers on when you're expelling the air out the expansion bottle? I've never done this previously but I saw it mentioned a few times recently so made sure that I did.

that'd be great, is it the small lip one? The paint was £11.99 for 400ml with £3.99 delivery so £15.98 all together (delivery might be a bit higher to N Ireland). I've not had a chance to use it yet though as the weathers been continual rain. Hopefully it's supposed to be better at the weekend...

I've been looking for one of the small spoilers for a few weeks with various scrappers without luck so far :down: They either don't have one or want too much for it. My k11 is China Blue too, I've already ordered and got the aerosol ready for it from paints4u.

I also noticed in that thread the method packing the hinge with washers which was something that I wondered would be possible when I was looking at it a few days ago. I'll have a look at that first otherwise I'll go at it with some 3-by-2 :grinning:

Arrg, I really wanted to buy those Alloys too but I was too late by the time I saw them listed :doh: They look great btw (Y)

The drivers door drops slightly when it's opened and it has to be closed pretty hard because of it. I think it was caused years ago when my brother reversed slowly with the door open and hit up against something. How do I re-align or tighten the door / hinge? It's a 3 door btw. (Y) Hopefully...

:laugh: I noticed on your blog you recently took out your carpets, was it straight forward? I've read that other than the usual trim removal it just needs to be cut around the ecu somewhere under the dash. The sound proofing stuff seems to have worn away too so the hole looks really rough.
