You need to modify the existing brackets using a hacksaw or get some super s brackets; the standard ones foul the driving lamp recesses. Other than that it is a straight swap.

Thought I would have to replace mine recently and Nissan told me they could order them in for ~£4 per bolt. Managed to reuse my old ones in the end as they cleaned up well, needed a socket hammering onto them to get them out though.

Just looked at the thread and learned it can be depowered by modifying the rack, might be less complicated to actually just fit a non PAS rack and remove the pump etc. I've not done either of these though so don't take my word for it :rolleyes:

Removing it properly is definitely the best option. Tyre and rim size also makes a massive difference to how heavy it feels. My girlfriends K11 which is on standard 13" alloys is way easier to turn when stationary without PAS than my K11 which has 15" wheels with slightly stretched low profile...

Not sure if this is the case with K11s but on my 54' plate Vectra I could disable the power steering by pulling the fuse. Could be an easy fix (or break, I'm not really sure which term to use haha) if this is the case. If the power steering pump doesn't work, then neither does the power...

I tried that first Frank, but the lip on the chassis which the light bolts onto started to deform and bend outwards with it :confused: so I stopped and pushed the light back to realign the mounting..

I guess I'll attempt this method first then, the lights are non-original however, so the seleant may differ from the one used from factory. Fingers crossed :)

Well, got the old exhaust off and fitted the new one today. Decided to drop the ARB and lower the whole thing to the ground as it seemed easiest. Is that the thick mesh gasket that I can see poking out between the cat and the downpipe? There seems to be two types; that one and a thinner type. Was gonna pick the mesh one up tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up :) I got the entire exhaust off today and I'm going to fit the new one tomorrow. The two cat bolts came out relatively easily tbh, I could probably put them back in but I'll ring the local Nissan dealer tomorrow to check if they're in stock and fit new ones if I can get...

I have a feeling that out the box they require some (fairly simple) mods to work with our UK spec K11s, mine were used by a previous member though so apparently they have already been converted. Not tried them yet though...
