could always try my option, remove the pipe from the GA box and run that down near the G/B, works well for me, helps loads at the top end when the car moving

Cheers for that frank, i am guessing that the QG15/18 coilpacks are the same. I will have to try and hunt around to find out if there is a voltage increase on the QG ones, if so, i will try and borrow the ones from college and see if they fit and what if any difference they make with bigger...

Does anyone know the output voltage of the coil on plug on the CGA? and in the same vein, the voltage of the QG packs? Just wondering if there is a difference in output, would the QG ones fit my CGA, i can check at college on thursday as we have an almera in the workshop, just asking on the off...

I have a later model and mine didnt fit when i got them, but i just modified the holder with the top of a Duplo brick and some epoxy, but i can still change the bulbs if needed.

Nah its the LPT model, so only a gt1549, same as what i got already, dont need the turbo, just boost pipes as they will fit for what i am going with :)

karlj, they got a saab 9000 2.3 turbo in the workshop that they are scrapping, i have been eyeing up parts i want from it, ie boost pipes and a few others, one of the workshop guys said if its still there when i start in sept, i can help myself. Very happy with that

This is true, trouble is, no one wants to take on a 35 yo without the bit of paper that says i can do it, even tho i can, so i am having to pay for my course, 1200 quid later i should get that bit of paper, and hopefully get a job from it. So as you say its never to late, just costs a bucket...

So i got a problem with my rear shocks, so i think. Under heavy load and on a slightly undulating road, i am rubbing my drivers side rear tyre, not sure if it is my shocks or not, i seem to be able to compress the drivers side more than the passenger side. I aint lowered, yet, but will be...

As frank says there is a second sensor on the coilpack engines, halfway along the downpipe. Never caused me a problem personally, but some have said this has caused them problems with the EML, mine is removed and no EML, but thats just me.
