it could be an fuel cut off switch, i had a similar prob in my renault 11 turbo, there was a switch in the boot that was there to detect rear end shunts, over the years it stuck in/rusted, after it was cleaned it worked fine, not sure if the march had this fitted, but it may be worth a look...

Yeah, where the second cat goes on the pre coilpack system, there is just a small silencer on the coilpack one, I managed to blow all the baffle plates, so it rattled like mad when you accelerated. Gave me and excuse to fit a PL system tho :)

it will replace it, but it wont give any performance gains, mine blew out after mild tuning and a healthy dose of ragging, best to stick with the primary cat and second decat on yours tbh

that is indeed true, tho FL cats are deeper/longer than pre FL cats, we dont have the secondary cat, mine passed with flying colours on the mot with a pre facelift cat/frank mani and peter lloyd system, and mine is a coilpack lump

Can you weld? or know someone who does? a new x member is only 30 odd quid, if you know some one who can, for the cost of a box of beer, its worth getting done. Trust me a promise of beer gets things done more than cash for some reason, well it does in my neck of the woods

WDID? Fitted 2 new front calipers, in less than 2 hours, not bad seeing as it was on my gravel driveway and on my own, all with the nasty scissor jack that come as standard. Now my car doesnt try to set fire to its pads when i drive it, and it seems to get along the road alot quicker, happy days

Just been reading this thread, with regard to the second (post cat) sensor on the exhaust, from what i can gather its just an EGT sensor, i maybe wrong, but i have a coilpack 1.4, and have a PL system fitted, obvously this is made for the pre coilpack engine and doesnt have the second sensor...
