Hi, Before I pull out a seat, has anyone modified the standard K10 runners to permit the seat to go back further? I would like a couple more inches legroom and don't want to get into all the universal subframe business etc. Any information appreciated. Thanks!

I had a chance to drive a friends 1991 K10 GS, just like my 1992 with the 5 speed. She keeps her one well maintained and it ran fine but I am darn sure it did not have the nice haul in second gear that mine has. I'm sure I'm imagining it but were there any differences in the MA12 over time...

Want to replace the vacuum pipes on my 1.2 as I think something is still not right. What diameter should the pipe be? Cheers.

Hi, turns out the Kwik Fit exhaust recently installed by the last owner was not well done. quelle surprise. The middle muffler has a leak on it, well it is literally coming apart at the welded seams. Do you think it would be OK to just remove this middle muffler and weld some straight pipe...

Thanks a bunch, porkpie. I checked all of the vacuum tubes and some were rather loose, so put new screw clips on them. Hey presto! Instead of the engine idle dropping, it picks up when accessories are on as the electronic unit does its stuff as it is supposed to do. (Y)

Thank you. Complete mechanical ignoramus here. Are the rebounds part of the strut assembly or are they separate units within the strut tower? Where would I go about finding them (I'm not having much luck with breakers. Couple I spoke to said that K10s go straight to the crusher. :down:)

Figured out the unearthly noise from the front when changing gear, going over bumps. Turns out a dust cover on the NSF strut has come loose and is banging around. When the car has been sitting for a while it seems to re-seat itself but then comes loose. Do I need these or can I just have them...

Thank you. That is very helpful. I did try unplugging the box and it made it worse. I will check the vacuum hoses but they actually look pretty new. I'll have a fiddle with the idle if I can work out how (not the most mechanically minded as you might guess!)

Two weeks after getting the little beast some %*&! has bent the window frame back to try and break in. Seems they gave up and I managed to bend the door back but it is a bit of a mess and can be difficult to close. Amazed the glass didn't shatter. Anyone got a door available, pref in the SE...

Thanks for that. Idle seems to be OK, guessing it is about 700 revs. No rev counter is a bit annoying. Even my 120y has one! Guessing a full service is in order. No running problems so not a big issue, just want to get this well-loved machine in tip-top shape.
