Guys related to this would an H reg LS 2 door drivers door fit on a J reg GS? Both facelift so I'm guessing it would but checking with the experts before I do the run to grab it (Y)

Pretty hard for me as none around London have them last time I checked. Don't mind paying for the Nissan part but just not sure what it is.

Would recommend the KYB gas shocks. Got them with 30mm springs and a very nice improvement it makes to the LS. Great with handling heavy gardening loads in the rear, too, so the missus is happy.

Garage round the corner refused to change the cam belt, last guy I had do some work couldn't figure out some pretty basic stuff porkpie helped me with. Anyone know a decent mechanic in London, pref. south but whatever. I try my hand at a few jobs but some I just know I will regret taking on.

What's the story with removing the bump strips? Stuck on with adhesive? Reckon my LS looks good without them and want to take them off the GS.

porkpie will no doubt be along with the right idea but this amateur would like to suggest checking the vacuum pipes. Better yet, just replace them all. Quick cheap job and fixed major issues on both of my K10s (and on my Datsun, too.) I used this stuff and the service was good, too...

actually one more question. Seems that it is cheaper to get some lowering springs than standard ride height ones. Can I drop those in or do I then get into funny suspension issues, tyre wear, all that stuff. Don't want to lower the car but if the springs are the cheapest and work then I'll do it.

My 1.0 has been a trooper in this last load of snow, including an emergency run to the hospital. The old girl needs new shocks. Also wondering about springs. How do you tell when springs need replacing? The shocks are an MOT advisory, nothing said about the springs but while I'm doing shocks...
