Depends on what kind of "boy racer" you are, the ones near me drive too fast especially in areas where kids are playing. That tends to give them all a bad rep. Im an Older Micra owner my boyracer stage is behind me, but I was there and did it, I do understand, but consideration does help :)

There is a metal I guess youd call it a strap or cover, it goes over the brake pipes, looks to be riveted on. On my car it has come away is it needed and if so can it be riveted back on ?

Long shot but my Micra has lived in the Harwich area all its life it has Hammonds of Frinton On Sea on its rear window sticker. I cannot find any reference to Hammonds now I presume they closed or changed names, is there a way to find an address for old dealerships? Im on a crazy quest to take...

Does the ticking go away when you rev it ? if so it sounds like the timing chain, common noise on these engines, most cases its nothing to worry about.
