Hey Matt, No drama's at all providing your reasonably handy on the tools, take it easily and methodically. I pulled the gearbox out one arvo, split and replaced the bearing and seal that night and stuck it all back together the next morning. A press would be handy to install the new bearing...

Yeah, I'd love it, but my yard looks worse than littlebears. Mrs 620racer and Mrs littlebear I am sure will get together one day and have a massive yard and shed sale. The lack of a sale here makes me wonder if I should just keep the LX I was about to advertise.

You can get the same effect by boring some BIG holes in the underside of the airbox as well, mesh is still in place, air filter remains standard and still works, leave the snorkel to the front to throw plod off the scent. Guaranteed to gain at least 2kW just from the noise.

Alfetta transaxle, front engine rear wheel drive 1800 / 2000, tailshaft runs at engine speed, inboard disc brakes. or Subaru, midmounted with the mod kit that removes the front drive. Fuel tank up the front to help weight distribution. Either way, big job fabricating rear end and firewalls...

I assume there is no room for an airconditioning compressor in that installation, unless it is a tiny wee turbo ;-)
