I suppose, as with so many things not just cars, it is effected by many other components conditions and how broken the component its-self is.

Is it easy to replace the bulbs and fix the speedo? (since I'll have my old one)

I'm looking for an SR (or Super-S?) Instrument POD, so I can have a tachometer. I've heard these will plug stright in to my pre-facelift micra and work once the old ones are out. However, will post-facelift dials plug in and work? Any ideas how much one will be and how rare they are? Thanks.

I'd assume the best place would be a scrappy, although some of them might be preddy rusted? New ones I'd imagine to be expensive.
