    A few questions

My K11 prefacelift does have the passenger door switch for the interior light, and it does also have the boot light so the cabling is probably present in all K11 PFLs and just needs a suitable switch or light adding. The rear wiper does park vertically on the prefacelifts Pollen filters are...

    Fan Belt?

There are no fan belts in Micras (prefacelifts anyway, don't know about facelifts) but one of my neighbours' had a squeal on starting, would think it's the alternator belt.

    head unit to rca adapter??

If the amp is taking its output from your existing stereo, then the only thing you really need to worry about is if the amp is designed to be run off speaker outputs, bearing in mind line level signals are 1 or 2v P-P into a high impedance. I assume the RCA-output adaptor leads have suitable...

    Frickin Bumpstrips!!

I wouldn't dare take mine off. Paint them maybe but then they suit my car in their present state. Too many muppets who park badly and then open their car doors without looking first :p I wonder if heat would help them to unstick from the paint though? BTW I always assumed Kerosene was...

Just gave away my Cabriolet lol

You're very trusting Nex. Happy you got it back OK and it's great to see there's some humanity left. Not so sure I'd dare let anyone drive off with my Micra, especially the missus O.o BG

fuel consumption a little high !!

12MPG!! O.o & I thought mine was bad! Measured "performance" for 2 full tanks (well, not according to the Haynes which states the K11 1.0L has a 42 litre tank, I have only managed to fit 7 gallons in mine even well after the low fuel warning light came on) - and the results are a bit...

Can someone explain this to me, please?

Both my policy with Yes (TPFT) for my K10 and my policy with CIS (Fully Comp) for my K11 allow me to drive anyone else's car with their permission, on a Third Party basis. It will state in the policy documents who is allowed to drive what ;) BG

    drivimg over the limited help

Re. Speeding It's very easy to do, especially when the AVERAGE speed of vehicles on the road you're travelling on is around 85MPH (as is the case on several motorways I use regularly). You need to get a feel for the speed you're travelling at and have an occasional glance at the speedo just to...

    k10 gearbox

Whereabouts are you Nismo? If no-one else wants it I'm interested. My K10 box is completely knackered now :( BG

    K11 rear wiper

No it's not normal. Unfortunately my front wipers do this (rear wiper works fine, stops at its "home position" every time). Front ones just stop wherever they are when they are turned off. A real distraction when driving in light rain as I have to time the bloody switchoff :( BG

    Power inverters ...

Thanks for all this great advice, pretty much what I thought but it's always better to hear from peeps who have already tried it :) Will be having a go at fitting it this weekend, been too busy until now. Seems 10mm² will be more than adequate, with a 60A fuse and decent clamps on the battery...

    my first speeding fine... GRR

It might not be the "end of the world" but if your job (or one you are applying for) requires a clean driving licence you are well and truly stuffed  Exactly what harm did you cause by travelling at a speed appropriate for the road and conditions, and according to your driving skills and...

    Boxed 6x9s

£20-£30?? That's way too expensive. I can make them out of high density board and padding to dampen resonance for a lot less than that. It's not difficult to build them and the sound will be aimed in your direction rather than reflected off the back window. Also gives you a bit more boot space...

Job well done, I'm really impressed. Just wish more were as dedicated, including me :( Your colour matching isn't bad, either :) What's the VIC check involve by the way  BG

    Power inverters ...

Has anyone fitted one of these? I have a 600W mains inverter which I intend to fit in my K11 (hopefully behind the console if it will fit). I bought it for my K10 originally but never got round to putting it in, mostly because I would have had to make up brackets and somehow bodge it in under...

    cuting the springs

Where I live I don't even HAVE that choice. There is a minimum of I think eight steep-sided brick monoliths to negotiate just to get out onto the main road. Yes I'd love to lower my car and improve the handling but I'd be pushing my luck by taking just a couple of inches off the ground...
