The leads going to/from the first speaker should be thick enough to handle the TOTAL power. IMHO you would be better wiring all the speakers direct to the amp, you'll get a better response from the second set in comparison to the first setup. This also makes it easier to add a four-channel amp...

Hopefully not, would you get the deposit back if you can get enough for the fine (sorry release fee) and tax? Apart from the rust which is treatable, you seem to have sorted out the initial problems and at such low mileage you'll have a good run with that car. K10s can run for well over 100k BG

Have you tried the -6dB setting? I suspect this would still be to loud, so you may need to add resistors - I'm not sure off the top of my head what impedance tweeters usually are, but assuming they are 4 ohms, you could add one 4.7 ohm 5W across each tweeter and one 2.2 ohm 5W in series with it...

I've slept in my K10 a few times. Quite comfy with the seat fully reclined but gets a bit cold! Not slept in my K11 yet. Those Recaros look comfy. How much would a pair of those set me back? BG
