Nice to see you have the indicator stalk on the correct side for a RHD vehicle, unlike most cars these days :) BTW the unit won't fit a prefacelift unfortunately, unless you modify the console. - BG -

The blank clock display could be (or become) a common fault, I fixed mine in a few minutes and will post a guide on how to get it working as soon as I have time :) (it's down to a leaky capacitor which rots through a supply rail on the clock's circuit board) BG

That's very disappointing but it could have been a lot worse .. my K10 has needed a load spent on it for the last MOT and also a couple of expensive repairs in the meantime. Yours sounds like it's a good one :) Shame I'm not near London as I'd be happy to do the welding for you :( BG

It's a great ride, cheap to run and insure, very reliable and IMO the K11 is well built. Smooth and not too noisy even on motorways. A bit susceptible to strong winds especially when floor .. er driving it along the motorways but I assume lowering would help with that (and reduce wind drag :p)...

Loose battery terminals will certainly cause the problems mentioned. When starting the motor draws a hefty current (40 amps thereabouts IIRC?) so any terminal resistance at all is likely to be abortive. BG

I'm not so sure the 1.0 has to work a great deal harder, I find it keeps the speed up well even on uphill slopes and fully loaded. The engine seems to be much stronger than the K10 in that respect even though mine is the same size engine. It does probably explain the increased fuel consumption...
