    Gear Crunching

I've had this happen occasionally changing into third, but I don't exactly waste any time changing gear. I'm hoping I just lifted my foot off the clutch slightly too early i.e. before the gear was fully engaged  BG

How hot is the K11 heater?

Mine gets pretty hot once the car's been running for a few minutes. I don't suppose it will seem as hot if the fans are run on full power though, especially if it's outside air :) BG

    petrol guage

If the needle does drop as fuel is used you have nothing to worry about. The gauge continues to show an approximate reading regardless of the ignition status. When the "low fuel" warning light comes on you have approximately 2 gallons left in the tank, so you still have more than 70 miles...

    Too orangy for crows....

Nice, but how do you open the doors lol :p Also thought the same about the restricted airflow, bet the temp gauge shows this! BG

Time to pass on my K10

Unfortunately I have to sell my old K10. It's the light blue model, G-reg, approx 112k. Would anyone be interested in taking this on as a project maybe? I have some spares for it inc. new grille (sprayed black), new headlights as the originals are rusted and some other bits for it, new parcel...

    High Spec PC

I'll ask a round to see if any of my friends/relatives are interested (my cousin might be), I've just rebuilt mine using a Quad Core Phenom & all the extras :p BG

    K11 N Reg/95 - Installing front speakers

Hi, those connectors will be fine but if you have a decent hardware/electrical shop near you then you should be able to pick up a few suitable connectors for a few pence, rather than buying a box of them which you probably won't need. :) BG

Now! Thats I call A car crash 100+

Exactly! And it's the same one we're supposed to observe too, though many don't  BG

Now! Thats I call A car crash 100+

Very true, unfortunately. It wasn't speed which caused the wreckage, it will have been someone making a mistake or losing control, or as you say, pulling out in front of someone, combined with people not leaving enough gap to allow for evasive action. Let's hope the PIP here don't make a meal...

    Suspention mods for the desert

The only problem with roads in Africa is they have pot-holes in them. The dirt tracks are much better, unless it's been raining of course :p The K10 should be ideal, though I don't remember seeing any - mostly Nissan Sunnys etc.. The Sunny I had was great fun for off-road driving :) I'm sure...

Now! Thats I call A car crash 100+

That's really scary. There were a few people driving too fast (and far too close) for the bad weather conditions, when I was driving to/from Surrey this past weekend. All it takes is for the one in front of a convoy of tail-gaters to lose control and you have a pile-up. Never seen anything like...

    Wheels

I know you aren't struck on the idea of changing the wheels, but you'll find that a larger wheel with lower profile tyres will help no end. I have done this and the difference in handling - and grip on wet roads - is miles better. The car suffers a lot less in windy conditions as well. As long...

    Insurance is ####ing me off

I think a part of the problem is, not only do the insurance companies want to rake in enough to cover the cost of a total loss on your part, they also want to cover the potential of a total loss of a more expensive vehicle as well (if it's your fault) - all this on top of their operating...

    Different Wheels...?

I'd keep them if you can and maybe get a second set if you want a change, so you can swap when you feel like it - they look nice on your car. There are some very interesting designs posted above though! :) BG

    Super S Digital Clock

When the fuel warning light comes on there will be about 2 gallons left in the tank. I've done 70 miles with the light on and there were still a few pints left! The tank holds 9¼ gallons (42 litres) but the fuel gauge only registers 7 gallons (32 litres) :) You can check this when you fill up -...
