If you buy VW steel rims, you'll have to enlarge the centre hole. For a direct fitment 14" rim, try and find some Almera (N15) 6x14" at the scrapyard. Fits nicely with the 59,1 mm centre hole, without being too wide. Not as DAMN HOT as a set of banded 13" steelies though... ;-) Cheers...

Try and take the wiper assembly apart, clean and apply new grease at all joints. You have to take of the wiper arms, and the plastic cover under the windscreen. 2 minute job. The rest is a bit more fiddly, but should be quite easy. The reduced friction of the cleaned and lubricated wiper...

Sure the spare wheel rim hasn't been used for one of the other positions? Could be a different size (ET or width) if the wheels have been changed at some point. And the direction of the tires is correct all over? Did you try simply changing the wheels around front to rear?

Have you double checked: - Tyre size is exactly the same. - Tyre wear and make the same on each axle. - Rims exactly the same dimensions. ET, width... - Tyre pressure. Obvious, but you never know. ;-) Hope you find a solution. Ulrich Sendt fra min LT15i med Tapatalk

OK. Have almost a whole day at home by myself today. The weather is fantastic, and the Micra deserves some attention. The back door has had some rust repaired bedly by the previous owner. And last week my wife ripped the "moustace" off, when opening the back door. All 4 brackets broken off...

Finally got around to doing it! It was very easy. Took me about 10 minutes total. We'll see if it makes any difference after a longer drive and some changing weather. Thanks again for the tip Pollyp! :-) Cheers, Ulrich

Yeah, it will never die or anything. Just sits really high in the revs for quite a long time. Sounds like granddads driving... My 4 other Micras have never been that way.
