    K10 '84 Automatic Transmission Replacement

mod your rad, or make a Y fitting in the tube going into your engine and route it to your tranny? it might be harder on the rad though.. it's hard to say how it'll handle the extra heat... if worse comes to worse find a small rad from the scrapper, mount it on the opposite side of your other rad...

    Rewiring the engine bay?!

Yea, after 18 years this car has been alive, I've been noticing that the electrical isn't top of the line anymore haha... I just recently received the actual Nissan Mechanic's Holy Grail of all things Micra (1989) and needless to say, I'm excited. This book shows me everything from how much...

    K10 '84 Automatic Transmission Replacement

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! imo i think a tranny's life depends on the driver lol... oh wow though, how much are they asking for the '86 micra?? and as for the old tranny, rip it apart... get a guide on rebuilding auto trannies and have some fun with it lol there's really no loss if you totally...

    Air intake

well, i mean i would obviously have a plug that i would have to check every now and then, or at least after a rainfall.. not just have it open all the time... but the problem with a double-u is that i wouldn't have enough space...

    Air intake

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... ok WOW that helps :grinning: i never thought of routing the water like that... that simplifies things hehe... the longer you made the scoop the less possibility of water going into the carb right? i was also thinking of setting up something similar like a sink...

    Air intake

that'll help you fellows in the UK, but what about me in Canada  I think I just wanna make an off-center scoop and feed a flexible tube to the carb, or just make a scoop front middle and use the stock intake tube already there (well, same place bigger tube) check out my pitiful diagram lol

this should actually be in that one topic where it took a poll regarding how many clicks their engine had gone: It was cheap and relatively easy... WHY NOT! lol Long story short, when I got the car, that section of the car had COMPLETELY rusted away.. so I fibreglassed it (a very poor...

    Air intake

why does that scream hydrolock to me, or am i just a dumbass lol i want a system that is immune to any possibility of water coming near the carb

    micra interior colours

painters tape to mask off the parts you don't want changed, and a paint that will adhere to plastic...and if it's heat resistant, it would be a bonus (for those summer days when the sun sits on your car for 6 hours straight)

    Air intake

what he said! i was thinking of making the opening of the pipe towards the front of the car and have it bend up and over the engine instead though.

    Air intake

that's brilliant man! that's basically what I wanted to do with mine, only...i don't wanna take the round part off of the top of my carb throat lol... cause i just bought a k&n filter to fit there and I'd rather use that filter if i can... so basically i can use the same duct work as what you...

    K10 '84 Automatic Transmission Replacement

i was damn lucky to get mine.... the only reason there was still a micra in my area was because a Nissan parts manager and his friend (nissan mechanic who does my dirty work now hehe) kept it alive! it was beautiful when i took it off his hands :) for $500 CAD (~215 Pounds) it came with new...

    More snow!

we had freezing rain a while ago, took me 40 minutes to de-ice my car... i wasn't pleased... then after that we've had about 3-4 inches of snow... i have to admit though, going to a massive parking lot with no posts in your way and burning half a tank of gas sliding around is quite amusing...

    4th gear

gearing down is MUCH easier... but imo it's a big waste of gas lol... don't try it if you don't feel comfortable... but since mine's 17 years old, and I myself am 17 years old, i like to be a little wreckless at times  and i'm always up for a new challenge... my newest thing to do is...

    4th gear

"When an experimenting driver tries to "match the revs" on a synchronized transmission and force it into gear without using the clutch, it is actually the synchronizer that makes up for any discrepancy in RPM, deceiving the driver into an exaggerated sense of how much human skill was involved."...

    Air intake

thanks for your input all :) much appreciated... I figure I'm just going to run some piping to a better area to catch colder air (instead of it sucking in the air that circulates around the rad) but I won't be doing it until summer, so I have plenty of scheming time hehe.

    Handling problem

i test on highways... the average speed on a highway is about 120-140 KM/H so it kinda sucks when i'm trying to keep the minimum and my steering wheel is wobbling like jello sitting on top of a paint shaker... and arnold, i've been 170km/h on a back street in the country, but that was with my...
