Yea, I was certainly aware of this and took the chance. I've kept a very close eye on the pan and checked for puddles and so far it seems I'm in the clear. Case closed. It was the throttle return spring!! Oh well, I learned a lot about carbs in the process of all this lol... If anyone is idling high, check/replace the throttle return spring!! Peace :grinning:

Yea it's not the choke plate... It's something to do with the accelerator arm... Today I took a hack saw and put a notch in the accelerator arm hoping that by stretching the spring further down the arm it would give it more leverage and push it down... It dropped my idle 200 rpm, but I'm still...

Alright lol... So moving past the water considering we got past that 4 posts ago :wasntme: , how about adjustments that need to be made? If the carb gets too much air at once will it stall or damage the carb or engine? I'm trying to convince my parents that it won't blow up my car lol...

Well I think the lowest we got before it stopped working was around -35Cish? So I guess it makes sense that SOMETHING froze lol.. At first I thought that all the snow in the engine bay was shorting it out somewhere... I didn't even THINK of looking at the carb throat :glare: I'll know for next...

Well apparently fuel can freeze at temperatures below -15C (can anyone confirm that?) but just recently I ran a carb cleaner solution that also claimed it got rid of moisture in the fuel tank and lines, so I would've thought water wouldn't have caused it to freeze O.o
