ok, so i unplugged the rcas going into my crossover and the majority of the engine noise went away, but there was an extremely small amount still there (putting my ear a couple inches away i could hear a slight noise) but it's funny because i can hear my wiper motors going through too haha would...

yea, mine has the same problem... it rattles pretty harshly once i break 70mph... at about 85 it starts to lift off O.o but my front struts are demolished, so i'm going to get them replaced (thank god for mechanic friends who do odd jobs for cheap) and i'll tell you if that makes a difference eh?

in my opinion any engine can last forever... it all depends on how you take care of it :blush:

Hey guys, i was wondering if there was a quick fix for engine noise going through my speaker amp. my old speaker amp didn't have a problem with engine noise, but the rca inputs died so i had to replace it with a newer one, and now the noise goes through. any ideas other than a noise filter? thanks!

ahh who am I kidding, I'm gunna drive that engine until it melts down lol besides, the chances of getting a decent engine here that will fit without much modifications to the car and the engine mounts are pretty well slim to none. i wouldn't mind that v6 micra lmao. that's brilliant eh?

hehe, i know i'm bringing this thread back alive after a year, but is there a blue wire for the k10? i unbolted the coil and checked out the wires, but i don't think i saw a blue wire (mind you the wires were pretty dirty) and i think i fried my tach..when i give it power, the needle jumps to 8k...

yea, my dash rattles like a fiend then once i get a little higher in the rpm and it stops rattling, i shift lol... but listening to the engine is definately the #1 technique, cause then you're not staring at your tach waiting for it to hit the right rpm instead of watching the road!

I like my ma12... I've been redlining 80% of my shifts for 5k km now and there's no signs of wear or loss of power... I'm certainly keeping an eye on my oil though considering it soils much quicker :wasntme: I've never driven a micra with an ma10, so I personally can't say it's good or bad!
