have you tried changing the gearbox oil? sounds stupid but its probably never been changed ever.. and doesnt hurt to change it.

malcolm buy the cheap flashing ones on ebay, or at your local autobarn/supercrap etc..

why not convert it RWD put a rotary in it braaaahhh! or put an RB26 in and drift it.. or strip it, cage, full suspension set up, rebuild the motor over sized pistons etc, quads/carbs, fender flares and wing mirrors (coz everyone loves wing mirrors)

this is a very common problem with AE86's as well. can re-align everything, but that may only last maybe 6mths. get new ones, and make sure you re-align you latch on the inside of the sill/B pillar. other wise you have to slam it to shut..
