I don't think they'll get enough light to work that well for long imo, as it slowly gets dark at night they'll lose their glow. 1.9 tdi golf is a completely different animal to the 1.0 micra, it is possible to get the acceleration to 60mph about the same, but I'm always dissapointed when I step out of a mates 1.9 tdi and step into my 1.0 as it just lacks pulling power at speed that the turbo diesels do effortlessly...

I think the overall consensus is that some fit and some don't. I think 12" alloys tend to have more room than 12" steels though, so your best bet would be to go with alloys imo.

you can get cams reground for about 110 each, I got mine 2nd hand so there were a little cheaper:) There's not that much of an improvement compared to the cg13 cams on this 1 litre imo, but I'll have to get a video up of the acceleration, it's not bad at all especially when it comes on cam.

This 9mm lift inlet cam has been in a few weeks now, result is pretty good. Pulls better at mid rpm and is still noticeably better upto the limiter (which is far too easy to hit now) not fitted the exhaust cam as I think that could raise the powerband too high for a daily 1.0 litre. like mark says, do the nuts up slowly, bit by bit on each stud and the taper of the nuts will centre the wheels, just like stock steels, which apparently have a slightly over sized centre bore anyway to allow for this.

Those cheap gauges that run off the 3-wire lambdas are essentially a voltmeter, 0.1-0.2v=lean, 0.8-0.9v=rich, 0.3-0.7v=stoich, or thereabout. So they are pretty usefull, you just don't know exactly what the ratio is, but you can expirement to sort of work it out. I've used mine to get it to run...
