I get 45mpg from my '94 1.3 which is standard and includes about 50:50 town driving and keeping with the fast (note not fastest) traffic on the motorways. If I stick to an indicated 70mph (which is about 64mph) then I get more.

I've read about the dreaded sunroof drain pipe problems. I've found some sill drain holes and they appear to be clear when I stick a feeler gauge up there and wiggle it around. There appear to be three on each side (one about in the middle and two forward of it, closer to the front mudguard)...
