Hola. Is it possible to lighten a standard flywheel. Got access to a lathe in work and can prob get it done. I'm assuming they are cast iron. Used to have my pinto ones lightened no bother and they performed fine. Havnt seen one yet as box still fitted. Cheers for any info

I've got some cup cams in my 1275 head which I would transfer. Thanks fir the advice though. A milder camshaft for more torque low down maybe as small capacity motor 1L.

Been trying to find the ratios in the standard 1.3 box. Does anyone know approx what they are? Want to do a comparison with the dog box ratios. Cheers

Hola. Does anyone know if the two heads are the same? Eg valve size, combustion chamber size/shape and port sizes? May buy 1.0 engine for the pistons end might play with the head a little!!! Cheers peeps

Apparently the cams havnt been dialled in sorry Frank! My mistake

If I up the compression ratio to 11.5-1 by fitting 1.0 pistons, have the cams dialled in by removing woodruff keys or pins whatever they are, have the fuelling adjusted (got an fse valve for the 1.6 injectors) and get the distributor turned etc to set ignition timing would I still need to play...

Just to confirm guys, 1.0l pistons are exactly the same size as 1275 pistons minus the dome on the compression face. The pins fit and 1275 rods fit together. This seems the easiest option to up the compression ratio with out playing with the timing chain etc.

Looking for some pistons or complete engine maybe for my micra. Must be in excellent condition and/or low mileage. Cheers kipsy

So was my calculation wrong sorry? I understand what your saying about the head not being round that makes total sense when thinking about it. Are the cams I have fitted any good then? Do you think they are capable of producing more bhp and torque with the compression increased. I know a few...
