Would anyone be interested in these st clocks??

Would be nice as my speedo dial is a bit marked from adhesive where it had a paper MPH conversion stuck on it but don't think I could justify the price :(

    Steering wheel lock rubbing

From memory its a sealed unit and I don't think you will be able to do anything with it If you don't want to replace it (and have a different key for the ignition) the best you could do would be to file or grind off the locking pin.

    Steering wheel lock rubbing

If there's a tight spot every half turn of the wheel where it feels like its catching or rubbing on something then it is probably the steering lock catching on the slots in the steering column. The steering lock is easy to get at but is held on with shear bolts. These will need to be drilled or...

    Buzzer on back of dials?

It's not the lights buzzer that's under the dash somewhere. Thought about it since posting and I bet its a seatbelt warning that comes on when you reach a certain speed. Will try it tomorrow.

    Buzzer on back of dials?

Had the instrument cluster out this afternoon and noticed a buzzer on the back of it with the lead to it taken off and taped up. There are some Jap symbols on the terminal, and the track disappears into the speedo electronics and is marked 100K. Thought hmmm 100Km/H speed limit warning? - so...

    ST on EBAY Heads Up

Yep I saw that, bit of a coincidence as I guess there aren't too many of these in the country. I've got an old 5 speed box in the garage but the bearings growl like a b****** so no good unless your doing a rebuild.

    ST on EBAY Heads Up

Yeah will get it done Baz. 5W40 fully synth? Might change the gear oil as well cause it's probably never been done - what grade do people use and does it need synthetic? Ta.

    micra gearbox problems :(

The linkage on the bottom of the gearstick can rust up and get pretty tight on these. If the stick is stiff to move forwards backwards with the engine off I'd get underneath it, disassemble it and give it a good clean and grease.

    ST on EBAY Heads Up

Thanks all. I've had a good look around the car and I am very pleasantly surprised with how good clean and original condition it's in. It's a credit to Andy for keeping it so well. I was expecting to have to get the welder on it fairly soon but there is hardly any rust on it. Original sills look...

    ST on EBAY Heads Up

Damn I've been outed ;) Yes I must admit I'm a bit of a K10 addict and I'm a sucker for any cheap or interesting bits on ebay. Loving the ST so far - picked it up Monday evening and have been running it to work and back.
