I've replaced the foglight bulb in mine after a badger severed the bolts and blew the bulb (bloody thing!) You can do it with the bumper on, however having done it, I would probably recommend the bumper off method as I can't imagine a bulb replacement could have been made more tedious if...

Guessing it's a heater resister card, our K11's had a couple burn out. This was when I was little though so I'll be damned if I know where it is. I think it's screwed into the heater box underneath the glovebox, above the passenger side footwell.

I would say check the cable but I know from removing one that it's a complete pain, it runs under the carpet along the drivers side, crosses over under the back seats, to the passenger side, goes up into the metal of the boot to get to the petrol filler cap and then goes round inside the metal...

I think you'll also need to take the rubber door seals and the A-Pillar trims off to get the top of the dash off, that's what I had to do when I was replacing the stereo in my car! Guy has an excellent tutorial under the stereo section on http://micrak12.com/ so that should get you started!
