It's probably too late now, but you're entitled to the old parts that have been replaced on your car, i.e. the wishbones. You could've asked for them back after the MOT and inspected them or got someone else to have a look at them, see if they really did need replacing.

+1 to the loom here. Bought it to try and solve our flooding problem and it worked a treat. As with MarkGSi we try to keep the engine running as long as possible before cutting it again if we're just moving it a bit (Y)

If you're feeling a vibration through the car (i.e. through the seat) rather than through the steering wheel, that indicates the back wheels may need balancing.

Slide the knives down either side of the stereo, between the metal cage and the stereo itself. This will 'unlock' the stereo from the cage and allow you to pull it forward. The cage will them remain where it is. (Y)

Do you mean that as in the waxstat should give the faster idle when cold, when it's operating normally, and because it may have siezed this is causing it to start with a low idle? And also would this be noticeable at any other time (i.e. driving?) - because in this case it isn't :grinning...
