Won't start, no spark... any thoughts?

Thanks for the advice. I've tested them and there are no problems with the plugs or HT leads - or as I have just discovered - with the distributor. There is simply no spark though...

Won't start, no spark... any thoughts?

Yes, timing chain is in one bit. Car always used to be a bit slow to start, which I put down to the throttle body... but I've swapped it for a known good one on another K11 and it still won't start. Cam still turning - good point though. There is no spark at all, so not leads or battery etc...

Won't start, no spark... any thoughts?

Hello all, My K11 won't fire and there is no spark. I realise that is the vaguest bit of diagnostics that you'll hear all day... but do you have any thoughts on where to start? G.

    Thought I'd say hello...

Hello all, Well, the K11 is finally back on the road, though it did need rather more than I had hoped... First of all the boot floor was ruined - this was the crash damage that wrote the car off. The scrappy gas-axed one from another car for us and my Uncle (for whom I bought the car)...

    Automatic starter, any difference?

Yes, I haven't got a manual version to compare it with, but it looks to be in more or less the same place?

    Automatic starter, any difference?

Hi all, The starter appears to be toast on the K11 CVT Micra that I've bought for my uncle. Before I shell out for a reman unit, does anyone know if the starter is the same on both the manual and automatic models? It's a 1996 1.0 if it makes any difference.

    Thought I'd say hello...

Cheers guys, It looked pretty solid underneath, but I'll know more when I jack it up at the weekend. Yep, it's a scrapyard. The vehicle is Cat C (although the damage is very slight) so it will need a VIC before going back on the road.

    Thought I'd say hello...

Hello all. I've just bought this 'splendid' example of a 1.0 Shape Auto for my uncle. He wanted a five door automatic - and they are very hard to come by! It's going to need a few bits to put it back on the road - so doubtless I'll be hassling the group with dumb newbie...
