    Finally Found my N-Tec

Out of curiosity, where is the GPS antenna located? I can't see mine anywhere. Must be hidden away. The part is just a black box, but surely it's not hidden behind metal panels is it? Must be behind the plastic dash panels somewhere. Thanks.

Assuming you mean other Micras, then yes... Someone on here has done it, so yes. Link to thread below. https://www.micra.org.uk/threads/sat-nav-wiring.71674/#post-778014

    Finally Found my N-Tec

Just cleaned the socket with switch cleaner... no improvement. However, I tried another USB stick and it's now perfect. I think being an older, high capacity pen drive, it was probably on the limit for power consumption. The Connect 1 manual states maximum of 500mA. The replacement drive works...

Music via bluetooth on non-satnav headunits

Like I said, I don't have that head unit, so may be wrong, but it's odd that it doesn't mention it in the manual for this head unit, but does for the Connect 1 unit. I know for a fact others who regularly post in here have your head unit, so maybe they can confirm.

Music via bluetooth on non-satnav headunits

I've just read my manual, and there is no mention of AUX via Bluetooth for your head unit. It only mentioned it for the Connect 1 sat nav based unit. Probably best to wait until someone with the same head unit can confirm that though, as I don't have your head unit... just going off what the...

Just a thought.... you may need the surround as well, as it's different from the others, apart from the later K12s with the non-sat nav bluetooth head units - which shares teh same surround. Let us know how you get on. I've seen quite a few connect 1 systems on Ebay.

    Finally Found my N-Tec

I'll give it a go. I suspect it's a problem indexing the files though... or with the USB stick I'm using.

    Finally Found my N-Tec

Good question. I can't imagine why not. The bluetooth will need the microphone of course, and there must be a GPS antenna somewhere, but other than that, I suppose there's no reason why not.

    Finally Found my N-Tec

I shall :) One question. Sometimes, if there's a USB stick in when I switch on, I have to unplug and plug it back in gain to recognise it. Does yours do that? Not the end of the world I suppose, but just a bit weird.

    Idle is rough

"if the mechanic who did the dump disconnected the battery could that do it? " I can't see how that could do it, no. Maybe someone else on here knows more than I do, but I can't imagine why that should do it. I've dosconnected my battery loads of times to do stuff... never been an issue.

    Idle is rough

500rpm seems low. I've currently got 2 K12 Micras.. one is old with 147k on it... one is a 2010 with only 37k on it, and they both idle at around 750. Mine drops a bit when the alternator is under load (lights, rear screen heater, or air con), but only 50rpm or so, and only for a short while...

    Finally Found my N-Tec

Just picked it up today :) That weird bumper colour thing was just my camera's HDR and shadows or something. there's no sign of colour difference :)

Just the photo. Something weird going on with the shadows and the HDR thingy on my phone I think. Looks perfect in the flesh.

    Finally Found my N-Tec

I know! His name is "Techno Mouse".... because all K12s look like mice from the front... and he's full of techy stuff :) My old one was "Mighty Microbe"

Thanks :) It's a fab colour. I'd love to know what it's called. I'll look up the paint code when I get it and find out.
