There is a wiring harness that goes from the coolant temp sensor, i have the part number in my toolbox at work, this may be your problem mate. Doesn't sound like the ol' throttle body problem tho! Ill look it out for you mate!

Use a ruler when ur applying it or it can go a bit skew-wif and a bit messy- does the job tho!
