V-power and Tesco98(99)RON has very very little or no effect in performance to your 1L mate, honestly, its the old placebo effect coming in! Iv tried it and found no gains what so ever - just a hefty fuel bill at the end of the fill up! Regular servicing and normal fuel will be the best set up...

Sorry mate but that doesnt sound legit to me! Sounds like thats just masking a problem, The higher the octane of fuel the harder it is to ignite so i cant really understand why your car is starting now mate

check the earth for the handbrake cable switch - its possibly shorted out against the body n thats causin the light to stay on - Check ur oil level for the oil light! that sounds a bit suspect

could be the fuel pump relay, or the fuel pump itself. Or possibly a TDC sensor thats gone down as this will cause the fuel pump not to kick in!
