    Yes this is possible. I'm almost certain you'll need a shorter alternator belt though!! Think people have done this when fitting better manifolds onto the engine.

    Well I check the cheaper things 1st. Actually thinking about it.....mine was due to moisture rather than actual air temperature!!! Mine was a pain to start anytime it rained or the air was very damp. Once the engine started it was fine!!! Actually sounds not very similar as ur problem.

    i Had a similar problem with my K11, it just would be a total pain to start in the cold, changed plugs n leads n all was fine! Might not be the same prob but might b worth checking these.

    I'd stick with the 1 for the time being m8. Seeing as u ain't passed ur test yet. I got a 1L n it's gd enough for town and motorway driving!! An engine transplant is quite a long job! There are other ways u can increase the BHP of the 1L without ripping it out!

    Nah got this from ebay. The kit does look nice, more photos will go up once the skirts are painted and fox 15" alloys r fitted. The kit is a real pain to fit, none of the mounting holes do match up!!! It would have been finished but the cars off the road after failing its MOT :'(

    Off topic but in response to GT: You can lower the car 30/35mm using standard shocks with lowered springs, just like mine :D Pic of mine lowered 35mm on standard shocks. With 14" Nissan 100NX Alloys. On topic: I think the Manifold you're going on about is just the standard Janspeed...
