you could try as a temporary test running a live feed to the remote wire on the amp see if it then runs fine, also where have you taken the live feed from and where how have you earthed it?

can also inrease pressure in the engine blowing out oil seals on some cars! especially crank seals, plus it can blow out of the breathers, as said drain some out and refil to the correct amount if its slightly over full a mm or to on the dipstick you will be oc but much more than that you will...
